We are delighted to confirm that the Sports Centre, the centrepiece to our Sports MasterPlan, will be opening to pupils from the start of the new academic year in September 2020. We also anticipate that September will see the first whole school assembly in the new sports hall using the auditorium seating. This will be the first time that all Oundle pupils have been able to gather in the same room since the School’s expansion in size in the 1990s.
Besides this capability, the Sports Centre will provide a full 50m pool, divisible into two smaller teaching pools and benefitting from a movable floor, replacing the current 90-year-old, 50yd pool; a fully equipped modern fitness studio; four further studios partly doubling as a hospitality space; and an eight-court sports hall useable for a full range of sports.
